Green Well was founded in 2015 with a mission to provide Uncompromised Wellness. We believe everyone should have access to a full range of wellness solutions.
We are Texans...mothers, fathers, physicians, community leaders, educators, veterans, and professionals. We are a local Texas based business and are committed to the care of friends and neighbors in our community.
Green Well will begin providing high quality cannabis based medicine and other wellness products under the guidance of the Texas Compassionate Use Program when it opens Summer 2017. We are pushing to be one of the first licensees in Texas to cultivate, process and dispense cannabis. Owning all pieces of the process ensures we can push the boundaries of cannabis science to bring you premium products and choices.
Look for our stores in Austin and Houston in 2017.
We all have differing lifestyles...some chosen and some forced, and Green Well's mission to drive Uncompromised Wellness pushes us to carry a range of products to meet your daily needs...with and without cannabis based ingredients. Our team is busy sourcing select local and national products that we feel are key to our mission.
We are diligently working with local vendors to showcase their products through our online store until our wellness stores open in 2017. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when these are available.
Simply put, cannabinoids are naturally occurring compounds found in the cannabis plant. There are dozens of compounds including Cannabidiol (CBD), THC, and a host of other cannabinoids. Benefits include:
Texas Compassionate Use Program
The Texas Compassionate Use Act (Senate Bill 339) was signed by Gov. Greg Abbott and became effective June 1, 2015. The bill requires DPS to create a secure registry of physicians who treat epilepsy, and of patients who have been diagnosed with intractable epilepsy. In addition, the bill requires DPS to license at least three dispensing organizations by Sept. 1, 2017. The license will authorize the organizations to cultivate, process and dispense low-THC cannabis to prescribed patients.
January – June 2016
DPS solicited, through posting an RFO on the Texas Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD), vendors for the development, implementation, and maintenance / support of a technology solution for the administration of the Compassionate Use Program. The RFO posting is now closed and DPS is evaluating the responses received.
Anticipate awarding vendor contract and begin development of the Compassionate Use Registry, an online database. Dispensing organizations will be able to submit licensing applications after completion of the online system.
DPS will begin accepting applications.
